In this special Symphony Storytime@OMA program, the power of music and the beauty of storytelling are perfectly combined to bring the colorful No. 1 New York Times bestselling phenomenon The Day the Crayons Quit to life. Enjoy music presented by musicians of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, along with narration, as we celebrate the wonderful illustrations of Oliver Jeffers and the charming story by Drew Daywalt. Meet storyteller Aquanza Cadogan and 12 crayon color personalities. Watch and listen as musicians play Mozart’s “String Quartet No. 16” as they accompany the different crayons expressing their feelings and frustrations. Join educator Molly Lawson at the conclusion to explore some works in the exhibition Oliver Jeffers: 15 Years of Picturing Books.
