Instrument Petting Zoo: An Orchestral Workshop for Schools

Program description
The Instrument Petting Zoo is an opportunity for students to hear, learn, and play instruments from each of the four main families of musical instruments. This highly interactive class is led by one instructor for 40 minutes, then allows the class to break out among each instrument family and physically play the instruments at each station for 30 minutes.

Program Detail
Weekdays as part of the standard school calendar; Saturdays upon request.
On weekdays during school hours or after school; Saturdays upon availability.
The classroom or event space must have enough room for five tables or work spaces conducive to hands-on interaction with the instrument families.
At schools with classroom or event space conducive to a large group session.
The Instrument Petting Zoo is available at $250 per session, to cover costs of teaching artists, administrative overhead, and instrument procurement/maintenance.

Cancellation Policy
Unless warranted by a system-wide school closure (i.e. weather, sickness, emergency), cancellation within 24 hours of the program will necessitate payment in full of the program cost.
