From trash to treasure, the Recycled Art Exhibit makes masterpieces from refuse!
The Casselberry Art House presents its annual Recycled Art Show, which takes place April 6 – 25, 2020, at the Casselberry Art House, located at 127 Quail Pond Circle.
The free exhibit, sponsored by The City of Casselberry and The Rotary Club of Casselberry, will be open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Local artists will display unique sculptures and wall art creations using recycled or repurposed materials. Many artists consider recycled art as a perfect medium to exemplify their expression for the need to recycle. Anything goes at this exhibit that includes two- and three-dimensional works, including but not limited to: paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, pottery, collage, metalwork and stonework. At least 50 percent of each piece of artwork is recycled (discarded/found) materials man-made or organic, including but not limited to: wood, metal or stone, glass, paper, fabric, pottery and plastic.
During EarthFest 2020 on Saturday, April 25, the City of Casselberry will host an Artist Reception from 11:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. Artists will be on hand to talk about their art and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served and awards and ribbons cash prizes will be presented at 1 p.m., with a grand prize for “People’s Choice” award.
