In-School Opera Previews

Program description

Introduce students to opera on their own terms!

Opera Orlando provides in-school presentations of their main stage productions to students in the classroom setting. Teaching Artists tell the stories and sing the music of the season’s main stage productions in paired-down versions in the classroom. Students are able to ask questions about careers in the arts and opera, and when possible, students who participate in the Opera School programming are invited to attend live dress rehearsals of Opera Orlando’s productions in the Dr. Phillips Center.
