Explore the world and music of South America as in demand soloist and recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant, Bridget Kibbey, performs a World Premiere harp concerto by Brazilian composer João Luiz Rezende, full of different colors and virtuosic possibilities for the harp. The evening features Concertmaster Rimma Bergeron-Langlois on Ravel’s Tzigane, derived from the European term for ‘gypsy’, a must for music-lovers!
