Booking / scheduling contact
Groups are welcome on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays throughout the school year.
Buses should be scheduled to arrive between 9 – 10 am. After completing the planned activities, many groups enjoy a short walk to lunch at the covered Farmer’s Market Pavilion (with restrooms) on West Plant Street – which is across from a large parking lot to accommodate school buses. Packed lunches and a cooler for drinks can be stored on the buses.
Because of the late lunch time, we strongly suggest bringing a small snack for students to eat following the initial presentation.
During the Detective Search, each class will be walking along the West Orange Trail in the Downtown Historic District, exploring our century-old buildings. Students should dress appropriately for the weather. Bring jackets/hats on cold days, raincoats/umbrellas on wet days, and hats/water on hot days.
The field trip takes place in Winter Garden’s Downtown Historic District. Buses will drop students off in front of the History Research and Education Center located at 21 East Plant Street, and may then park at the lot across from the Farmer’s Market Pavilion.
$5 per student; teachers and chaperones are free.
