Crealdé School of Art
Crealdé School of Art is a community-based nonprofit art organization established in 1975, featuring an affordable, sequential curriculum of over 125 studio courses and workshops in painting & drawing, digital & film photography, ceramics, sculpture, fiber arts, jewelry and glass for adults and children, with hands-on experience emphasized. Classes and workshops are taught by a faculty of more than 45 professional artists.
Also, Crealdé offers an award-winning scholarship and outreach program to special populations from the diverse Central Florida community.
Crealdé’s two galleries offer changing multidisciplinary visual art exhibitions by artists from Florida, the nation and the world. The Contemporary Sculpture Garden showcases over 60 outdoor pieces of art.
Crealdé’s main campus and galleries are located off Aloma Avenue at 600 St. Andrews Blvd., Winter Park, FL, 32792. The office and galleries are open 9 a.m-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Phone 407-671-1886. Admission is free.
Hannibal Square Heritage Center
Crealdé’s Hannibal Square Heritage Center serves as a second campus as well as representing a unique partnership with the City of Winter Park to pay tribute to the past, present and future contributions of Winter Park’s African-American community through a permanent collection of historic photographs and oral histories. Established by Crealdé in 2007, the center also features visual art exhibitions, public art installations and educational programs that explore Southern folklore and cultural preservation.
The Heritage Center is located in downtown Winter Park: 642 W. New England Ave., Winter Park, FL, 32789. The galleries are open noon-4 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, noon-5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Phone 407-539-2680. Admission is free.
Winter Garden
A limited number of classes are held at the Jessie Brock Community Center in Winter Garden.
